First feedback, better outreach, and finding the right sound
PlayScout has been live for a few days, and the feedback keeps pointing the same way. Finding creators is only half the job. You also have to figure out who actually fits, write a pitch worth reading, and remember who you already emailed.
So I added outreach guides, a pitch checklist and coverage tracking. You can log the videos and streams that came out of your outreach, the dates and how it went, then export all of it. There's also a new filter so you only see creators who covered games like yours in the last 30, 90 or 180 days.
One lesson on the business side: my tracking was counting free promo codes as purchases, which made the numbers look better than they were. That's fixed. It's too early to say much about demand or pricing, and I'd rather not guess.
ComposerScout turned into a working demo. Enter a Steam link or a few games like yours, pick a scene and a mood, and hear three music samples over your gameplay. For now the composers and tracks are placeholders. Real accounts and profiles are next, and it stays free while I find out if people want it.
On No Soliciting, I did a big code cleanup and fixed a bunch of bugs. The next round is all about playtest feedback: hints, menus that overlap, and the bugs people found.
This site also got its own Apps, About and Devlog pages.
Next: finish ComposerScout's real signup, work through the playtest fixes, and let the PlayScout numbers tell me what to build next.
